### My Journey with Ovarian Cysts

I was diagnosed with ovarian cyst when I was 13- 14 years old that was close to 20 years ago. , looking back it has been a very challenging journey because

Living with ovarian cysts means dealing with a lot of pain, discomfort which can disrupt everyday activities, from walking to navigating stairs, and even affecting intimate moments, but when I first started to experience the pain , it came , it went , barely noticed because I already had horrible pain from my cramps , my periods were and are awful . I did not know ovaries cysts were. Something women get ,But when I realized it was different kind of pain i started to talk to my mom and eventually lead to emergency room trip because some days I couldn't go anywhere, I couldn't do anything because the pain was so bad, so intense all I could do was cry, some days I could fight though the pain, deal with it, push through it on those days but it was getting harder and harder,

one day I decided I was going to walk around, see if walking helped easy or manage the pain I was having. I was hoping that being outside, in the sun hanging out with a friend, but it only made the pain worse then suddenly, the pain overwhelmed me. As I was crossing the road I collapsed right there in the street, the person driving the van saw me collapsed, slowed down I was able to move out of the road , safely off the street, and slowly return back to my house, which lead to not one emergency room trips but two,

First trip to E.R

 - they examined me, asked questions, did test and did an ultrasound, to figure out what is wrong, what is causing my pain . This is the first time I got diagnosed with ovarian cysts, first time I ever heard about it, talked about it or knew anything about them, but they told me, that I had one ovarian cyst and that the reason the pain got as bad as it did , was because it popped i will still have some discomfort but next few hours it will subsided and is will be able to do my normal daily activities

Not even two days later

I ended up in another emergency room, because the pain was not getting better, it was getting even worse.

Second trip to E.R

At this point I was the pain had tripled, I couldn't move, I couldn't eat , the pain unbearable , my mom brings me to a different emergency room for a second opinion, I tell them I was just diagnosed with a cyst, and told the new set of Drs what I was told so they did another ultrasound and they told me that I did have ovarian cysts but it was not just one it was multiple of them and they were all slowly popping.

They explained because it's a fluid filled sac, that there's two options they can pop on there own which in most cases will be painful but they do pop on there own, or they have to surgically remove them,

But before they would even consider doing surgery to remove said cyst the cyst(s) had to reached 5 centimeters or bigger ,the last time I was seen they measured mine about 4.5 centimeters,

And they told me that there wasn't anything they could do because they prefer not to do surgery unless it's necessary,

Still 15 years later, numerous trips to Drs and the emergency room and it just continues to get worse, I am still dealing with the excruciating pain , very crippling, a lot of discomfort . disrupts my daily life and activities.

the last time but i had ovarian cysts, it was the worse kind of pain, I was working all day while I was Dealing with multiple, several cysts growing, stretching and bursting all day, I literally cried on and off all day, I was beyond miserable, the type of pain you deal with is extremely exhausting, it wears on you mentally, emotionally and physically, this kind of pain brings you to a very dark and scary place, it's filled with darkness if you are not prepared or ready it can and will consume you, if you ever need someone to talk to ,who understands the kind of pain you have to endure you can always reach out to me ❤️
